Sizing

The Heron is recommended for vans up to 26 cubic metres (Heron 2.2) and 36 cubic metres (Heron Q and Heron 3.0), but assumes that walls and ceilings are insulated with a minimum of 25 mm of rock wool or foam. Windows should all have shades or curtains as a minimum.

If the van is to be used mainly in extreme conditions (40º C plus or high humidity) then be conservative. Ensure the best insulation is installed, consider double glazed windows and use the unit only on vans of 6 metres and 4.8 metres respectively.

Installation Note

Aircommand strongly recommends the use of an experienced installer for fitting either model Heron. Also, in most states of Australia it is a requirement by law that connection of refrigerant lines be carried out by a licensed tradesperson.
